Creative Drama is on Saturdays
9:00-9:50 am 4-6 year olds
10:00-10:50 am 7-10 year olds
In both classes, we'll be exploring drama with the help of fun games and activities. Students will be challenged with improv to help them grow their skills!
Winter 2018
Classes begin January 20
Weekly Outline (will be adjusted a bit due to fewer weeks in this session)
Week One:
Establish rules, learn everyone’s names, and learn a little bit about each other.
Week Two:
Explore the senses and how they relate to “acting”
Week Three:
Learn about movement and how to tell a story or become a character through movement
Week Four:
Work on projecting voices and using voice to portray character
Week Five:
Explore improvisation
Week Six:
Create characters
Week Seven:
Review of previous weeks’ topics
Week Eight:
Sharing day with family and friends. Come ready to get dramatic! Everyone is invited to participate in today’s class, not just observe.

4-6 ClassDuring this most recent session of Creative Drama, students have enjoyed a number of adventures.

7-10 ClassStudents have been working hard on two different Fractured Fairytales: "Little Late Riding Hood" and "Three Little Elephants (and the Big Bad Mouse)"
They have also focused on making sure Theodore, Freddie, and Sophie (the pig, bat, and blue bird that live on the back of our white board) can hear and see them whenever they are on stage. We've learned to control our bodies with games like "Mirror", and "Walk Like...", and expand our imaginations with "Props" and "Commercials". |
